Xiaomi reveals how many Mi Band 4 units it shipped so far (Hint: It’s a lot)

It seems theXiaomi Mi Band 4(or the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 4, depending on your location) is shaping up to be the most successful fitness band from the company yet.
According toDonovan Sung, a global spokesperson forXiaomi, the company shipped one million units in just eight days, a new record for the line. Sung announced the news on Twitter yesterday.

Although the comments underneath this tweet are mostly positive and congratulatory, there are quite a few people lamenting that the Mi Band 4 hasn’t yet landed in India. The Xiaomi brand is huge in that country, where it isthe number one smartphone manufacturer— even larger thanSamsung,Huawei, andApple. Why the Mi Band 4 isn’t there yet is a curious mystery, although it will likely arrive soon.
The Mi Band series brings many of the features people want in a fitness tracker at an incredibly cheap price point. Ths Mi Band 4 has a full-color, AMOLED touchscreen display, 5ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, a six-axis sensor, AI assistant functionality (via Xiaomi’s Xiao AI assistant), and a heart-rate monitor.

The standard version packs a 135mAh battery that should last for up to 20 days of battery life. This version lacks NFC capability, while the Mi Band 4 with NFC uses a 125mAh battery that delivers up to 15 days of power.
