Verizon and T-Mobile pushing out updates to a number of Samsung Galaxy devices

If you happen to own aSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge+onVerizon’snetwork, we have some good news for you! Earlier this morning the carrier announced that it’s beginning to roll out the bigAndroid 6.0 Marshmallowupdate to your devices. In case you were wondering, the update will come in at software version MMB29K.G928VVRU2BPC2.

Along with the standard package of Marshmallow features like Google Now on Tap, Doze mode and better control over application permissions, there are a few other features you’ll want to know about. This new update brings Wi-Fi calling to the S6 Edge+, as well as Live Broadcast improvements, Edge panel improvements, a few UI tweaks, and the removal of the Amazon Appstore. Verizon isn’t the only carrier bringing sizable updates to Galaxy devices today.T-Mobilehas just announced that it’s now rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to itsGalaxy S6andS6 Edgehandsets. While the carrier still has yet to post an official changelog for the update, we do know that it will bring the S6 to versionG920TUVU3EPD1and the S6 Edge to versionG925TUVU3EPD1.

The updates to Android 6.0.1 should weigh in about 1.3GB in size, so be sure you’re on a steady Wi-Fi connection and your battery is charged before you update. You’ll likely get a notification with the update in the next day or two, but you may also check for it manually by heading toSettings>About device>Software update.
