This is your clearest view yet of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2
June 09, 2025
There might not be much mystery to theGalaxy Z Fold 2by the time Samsung’sUnpacked eventstarts on August 5. Well-known leak provider Ishan Agarwal andMySmartPricehave posted a flurry of renders that appear to show the new foldable phone in greater detail than previous leaks and support those earlier rumors.
For one, this appears to make it clearer that the Z Fold 2 is a cousin to theGalaxy Note 20, with a similar camera bump and overall aesthetics. There appears to be an updated hinge, although it’s difficult to tell what if any functionality has changed.

More importantly, the leak supports many of the rumors surrounding the screens. The external screen is much larger (believed to be 6.2 inches), now filling the entire surface. The signature folding screen also doesn’t seem to have the corner notch of thefirst-generation Fold. It’s expected to be slightly larger at 7.7 inches across and use a hole-punch camera.

The images don’t say much about the phone’s internals, but past claims have the Z Fold 2 borrowing much from theGalaxy S20 series. You could expect a 64MP camera for crop-based zoom shots as well as 12MP main and ultra-wide cameras. It could also add 5G support and hold up to 512GB of storage. It’s not certain if the new folding phone will use a Snapdragon 865 or 865 Plus, although theGalaxy Z Flip 5G’s865 Plus suggests the newer processor is most likely.
There still aren’t any solid clues as to when the new Fold might ship, or whether there will be any change from the first model’s $1,980 price. However, these renders hint the Z Fold 2 will be a significant (though not radical) improvement on it predecessor’s formula.
