The Galaxy S10 Lite is indeed real, because Samsung just confirmed it

We hear rumors of a Lite or Mini entry in Samsung’s Galaxy S series almost every year, but the Galaxy S10 Lite is actually a real thing. And how do we know this? Well, Samsung just revealed the name.

The phone passed through theFCCthis week (h/t:SamMobile), complete with the model number SMG770F. This model number matches earlierSamsung Galaxy S10 Lite rumors, but the filing also includes a screenshot of the “About Phone” section, and this screen explicitly calls it a Galaxy S10 Lite. We also get the model number in question on this screen, as well as evidence of a dual-SIM option. Check it out below.

The Galaxy S10e will soon be joined by the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite.

Previous leakspaint a picture of a phone that’s anything but lightweight in the specs arena. The leaks point to aSnapdragon 855chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen, and a 4,370mAh to 4,500mAh battery. Meanwhile, theGalaxy S10edelivers a 5.8-inch FHD+ screen and a 3,100mAh battery.

Samsung’s upcoming phone also stands out from theGalaxy S10eby apparently offering atriple rear camerasetup and a48MPprimary sensor. A 12MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP depth sensor is said to round out the package.

SamMobilereports that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has the same specs as the Galaxy A91, suggesting that the firm might be renaming the device for different markets.
