Samsung Galaxy S9 appears in 3D models leaked from its “Unpacked 2018” app
August 14, 2025
Samsung’s official unveiling of theGalaxy S9at theMobile World Congress 2018is now only three days away. However, judging by the number of recent leaks, it may be getting worried that by the time the event actually comes around there won’t be much more to unveil.
The latest of these, from Reddit user/u/thesbrosviaXDA Developers, indicates that Samsung is planning to show off its new phone using augmented reality at the Mobile World Congress. The user was able to find the 3D models that Samsung is expected to use after tearing down the company’sUnpacked 2018 app(launched specifically for MWC 2018).

These 3D models—examples from which you can see above—allowed the user to view the Samsung Galaxy S9 from pretty much any angle. While the pictures of the 3D models don’t really show much that is new, they do seem to confirm the options for four color schemes (lilac, blue, black, silver), the Bixby button, and the new fingerprint scanner placement.
Of course, the ability to access these 3D models will be beyond most people. However, if you can’t wait for the S9’s release, it is certainly worth taking a look at the pictures and remembering that the official announcement is only a few days away—check out the full set over atXDA.
