Nokia keeps the headphone jack and announces true wireless earphones
June 19, 2025
HMD Global announced two new audio products today: the Nokia True Wireless V1 and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones. These wireless headphone options are an interesting announcement, considering theNokia 7.1–which HMD Global also announced today — retains theheadphone jack.
Both products are intended to “compliment your stunning viewing experience on the Nokia 7,” says HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas.

TheIPX4-ratedNokia V1 are workout earbuds that operate viaBluetooth 5.0. The earbuds weigh 10 grams collectively. Standalone battery life affords 3.5 hours of music playback, while the charging case provides three additional charge cycles, totaling 14 hours of playback or 16 hours of talk time. To charge the capsule case, you can connect to a power source via the included USB-C cable. The case uses an LED indicator to notify listeners when it’s charged.
The Nokia True Wireless V1 will retail for 129 euros (~$148) in November.

If you’re worried about losing an earbud, the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones may be more appealing. The earphones provide 10 hours of playback and, like the popularOnePlus Bullets Wireless, automatically play or pause your music by removing and magnetically clipping the earbuds.
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones support aptX for CD-like audio streaming, are sweat- and water-resistant, and grant virtual assistant access. They charge via the included micro-USB cable and require two or three hours to charge.
The Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones will retail for 69 euros (~$79) in November.
