LGtends to lag behind most manufacturers when it comes to issuing updates around the world, and theLG G7 ThinQis no exception. The phone receivedAndroid Piein South Korea back in January, and it looks like the update is finally coming to more users.

According to members of theXDA-Developers forumand theG7 subreddit, the update is now available in the likes of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Poland, the U.K., and the U.S.

LG hasn’t made an official statement regarding regional/carrier availability just yet, but you might want to check for the upgrade if you’re in Europe or the U.S. anyway.

The Android Pie update reportedly weighs in at 1.4GB, and it should bring quite a few features to the table. According to theKorean changelog, the update delivers gesture navigation, battery saving measures, a screen rotation shortcut, and theLG V40‘s cinemagraph functionality.

It’s disappointing to see LG delivering the update roughly ten months after it was first made available. In fact, we ranked LG tenth on ourlist of manufacturerswho were quickest to issue Pie updates. It doesn’t bode well for LG G7 owners wantingAndroid Q, but hopefully the Korean company steps up its efforts in 2019.
