AMC Premiere isn’t one of the biggest streaming services, but if you are a fan of TV shows like The Walking Dead, you might want to consider signing up for it. AMC Premiere offers a couple of nice features for fans of the popular zombie TV series, plus a host of other content.
What is AMC Premiere?
AMC Premiere is an add-on streaming service offered by the AMC family of cable networks. It offers access to current seasons and episodes of AMC’s shows. That includes the latest season of The Walking Dead and its current and upcoming spin-offs like Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead World Beyond.
It also offers a limited number of movies to stream online, along with several older AMC shows like NOS4A2 and McMafia.
What’s the difference between AMC Premiere and AMC Plus?
AMC Plus is a newer streaming service in the US that includes more content than AMC Premiere. It includes everything in AMC Premiere and ad-free access to the premium content fromShudder, Sundance Now, IFC Films Unlimited.
Is AMC Premiere worth it?
AMC Premiere is very inexpensive compared to most streaming services, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s worth it. The amount of content on offer is fairly limited, and some of it is available on other streaming services, as well.
That said, for fans of The Walking Dead, it’s more than worth the cost of entry. With the eleventh and final season of the main series coming later this year, you can watch every episode a few days before they’re broadcast on live TV. Plus, there are no pesky ads to wait through.
How much does AMC Premiere cost?
AMD Premiere costs $4.99 a month, or $59.99 for an annual subscription. That said, frequent discounts on the annual plan bring the price down below $30 a year, which is an excellent value.
Note that all subscriptions include a 7-day free trial, which is plenty of time to decide whether or not it’s right for you.
What platforms are supported?
Accessing AMC Premiere content is available by signing to your paid account via the AMC app. You can download it on bothiOSandAndroid.
It’s also available onChromecast-supported TVs, the Apple TV box, and viaRokuand Amazon Fire TV devices and smart TVs. You can also watch the content on the AMC.com website for PC browsers.
What can I watch on AMC Premiere?
The biggest draw of AMC Premiere is The Walking Dead. If you are waiting for new episodes of the Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead, or are going to watch the new spin-off The Walking Dead World Beyond, you can watch all of them on AMC Premiere.

It also has two big features that will give you a leg up on other fans that watch the shows via the standard AMC channel. First, you get new episodes with no ads. Second, new episodes of the shows will drop two days on AMC Premiere before they are shown on the AMC channel.
Apart from that, there’s also a selection of current and older shows from AMC to stream on the service. That includes shows like the horror series NOS4A2, the urban fantasy series Dispatches from Elsewhere, and more. Newer shows that are worth checking out include the spy thriller Rubicon and the remake of the classic TV show The Prisoner. US audiences can also stream the recent BBC adaptation of The War of the Worlds exclusively on AMC Premiere.

AMC Premiere alternatives
If you aren’t into The Walking Dead or other AMC properties, there are plenty of alternatives to check out. The first is AMC Plus, which offers AMC Premiere plus more content from Shudder, Sundance Now, IFC Films Unlimited.
