Amazon Echo Sub and Smart Plug leak: Two new Alexa-powered devices
August 11, 2025
Amazon appears to have leaked info about two of itsnew Alexa powered deviceson the U.K. Amazon website. The product pages, which were spotted byPocket-Lintbefore Amazon took them down (viaEngadget),seem to show details of theEcho Sub subwooferand theAmazon Smart Plug.
According to the product description, the Amazon Echo Sub is a 110W 6-inch subwoofer. The description says that you will be able to pair the subwoofer wirelessly with two compatible Echo devices to get a stereo sound setup. This is something that has previously been impossible to do with Echo devices. The listing suggests the Echo Sub will cost 75 pounds, which is around $98.

The smart plug wasn’t mentioned in the previousleak about Amazon’s plans for new Alexa-powered devices.According to the product description, it will allow users to control any electrical socket with their voice. The description also says the plug can also be used to set up schedules for appliances and devices with theAlexa App.
The leaked page says the plug will cost 95 pounds, which is around $125. However,Pocket-Lintpoints out that this is far more expensive than most smart plugs so the listed price may be incorrect. This also throws into doubt the price of the Echo Sub (though 75 pounds is more plausible)

According toPocket-Lint, both devices will be available on October 11, although we can’t see that on the screenshots. While it seems fairly likely that the info listed — if not the price — is accurate, until Amazon officially unveils the products, we won’t know for sure.
