Adobe Lightroom for Android receives huge 2.0 update, gains in-app camera and much more

Adobehas been pretty diligent at releasing notable updates to its suite of Android applications, and today one of their most popular photo editing apps is getting some key improvements. Adobe Lightroom, which was justrecently made freeon Android, is getting a huge version 2.0 update today that will not only make editing photos easier, but taking them a breeze as well.

The headline feature in this update is the addition of an in-app camera. This will definitely help mobile photographers capture pictures much more easily, as they’ll no longer need to use two separate apps for taking and editing media.

There’s also an improved Tone Curve tool that will allow you to access RGB and individual red, green and blue color channels in your photo. The new Dehaze tool will let you control the amount of atmospheric haze in your photos, and the addition of the Targeted Adjustment tool will let you tune colors in specific areas of you photos.

Adobe says it will eventually bring the in-app camera to Android tablets, though the company didn’t give us a timeframe as to when that would happen. The big Lightroom version 2.0 update is now live in the Google Play Store, so follow the link below for the latest version.
